The time limits above are guidelines. If a routine requires extended time, please contact us with that information for scheduling purposes.

Production is classified as any routine that is over 5:00.

  • Age cutoff: January 1st
  • Average age: Round down or drop decimal.
  • Entry fees are non-refundable, however if Extreme is forced to cancel an event, full refunds will be given.  In the case of a dancer that is unable to attend due to an illness or injury, gift certificates for future Extreme Talent Showcase events may be given if a doctor’s note is submitted.
  • Extreme Talent Showcase reserves the right to cancel or postpone any event at any time for any reason. Every attempt will be made to have all shows run as advertised. Refunds will be given for cancellations only.
  • No flash photography and no videography of any kind (including cell phone video) is permitted. Videos and photos may be purchased at DanceBUG.com.
  • Schedules will be emailed to studio directors 7 days before the event.
  • All cash awards and gift certificates will be awarded to studio owners to use at their discretion.
  • Anyone displaying unsportsmanlike conduct may be asked to leave without refund.
  • Please notify the backstage manager at time of check in if the routine has any props or requires the use of a microphone.
  • Be advised that there are many times where competition will NOT run in exact order. Your understanding of this matter is greatly appreciated. Costume changes must be accommodated and as soon as you are ready to perform, you must check in with the backstage manager.
  • If you are not ready to perform as scheduled and you are found to be rehearsing your routine, you may be penalized with a score deduction.
  • All music must be uploaded to your DanceBUG account at least 5 days prior to the event. Backup music in the form of iPhone, iPad, computer, mp3 will be accepted only in the case of the primary malfunction.
  •  Extreme Talent Showcase is not responsible for items left at the venue.
  • Participation in Extreme Talent Showcase indicates permission to use any photographs or video taken during the event in promo uses– including, but not limited to, newspapers, brochures, programs, ads, television, videos, newsletters, emails or the internet.
  • Extreme Talent Showcase reserves the right to change, delete or add any rules, regulations or policies at any time.
  • Depending on the amount of entries and time constraints, some regional competitions will host workshops (master classes) taught by the judges. All workshops are $25 per dancer, per class at the regional level. If workshops are going to be offered, there will be a schedule in your confirmation materials the week prior to the competition.
  • It is agreed upon by entering any Extreme Talent Showcase Regional Competition or National Championship that participants, including students, parents, teachers and other spectators, will not hold Extreme Talent Showcase or its owners, directors, employees or host facilities liable for injuries sustained, illnesses contracted or loss of property while in attendance or participating in any activity of an Extreme Talent Showcase event.

THEATRE CONDUCT

  • Please enter and exit between performances only.
  • Food and drink are not allowed in the theatre.
  • Smoking is prohibited inside the building.
  • Spectators, applause, and cheering is welcomed and encouraged. But, please be respectful and supportive of all the dancers.
  • There is no charge for spectators.
  • All performers must clean up after themselves on stage and in the dressing rooms.
  • No fire, swords, knives or helium balloons are permitted. No liquid, gel, aerosol, paint, glitter or confetti is permitted.
  • Props are allowed but must be freestanding. Please notify Extreme Talent Showcase if there are props in your routine by selecting Prop on the DanceBUG registration.  Also, please detail the length of time for setup and tear down on your registration.
